3 of the Most Uber-Cool Coffee Shops in SE Portland
Portlanders agree these coffee shops are pretty cool.
1) Triumph Coffee
Located right next door to our flagship Buckman community, East of Eleven, Triumph Coffee is known for its retro seating and hip atmosphere, as well as their delicious breakfast menu, including pastries, sandwiches, and plentiful vegan options.
2) Coava Coffee Roasters
Portland’s Coava Coffee Roasters has gained a reputation as a local favorite, and even launched into the national scene when their coffee shop featured on Jerry Seinfeld’s endearing series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.
How good is their coffee? Really Really, good. Coava’s sustainably grown coffees come from Latin America and Africa and are produced and processed with care.
3) Water Avenue Coffee
In true Portland fashion, Water Avenue Coffee started as a pop-up shop named Temporary Coffee in 2009 and officially opened in their permanent location and with a new name in 2010.
Water Avenue is a good addition to the neighborhood, with a long window seated bar, big shared tables, smaller 2-tops, and a stunning, 50′ reclaimed fir side counter, that looks into the roasting area. It’s a place for creative workers to meet, or sit over a laptop, for some café style work time.
Water Avenue serves a few hearty foods, such as soups, sandwiches, and savory vegetable flatbread, alongside croissants, scones – all made by Portland’s top bakers.
