Our Favorite Space-Conscious Apartment Halloween Décor
It’s that time of year, we’re putting away our flamingo floaties and retiring the rosé and replacing them with our perfectly picked pumpkins and hot apple cider. For us apartment dwellers, sometimes it feels like we can’t go all out with our festive décor, a giant singing witch may not be the ideal roommate in a studio for the entire month of October. We’ve curated a list of some of our favorite space conscious Halloween décor. Enjoy and happy haunting!
1) The Sneaky Skull
You were going to have a vase of gorgeous fall blooms on your table anyway right? Why not replace your vase with our dearly departed friend here. Check out your local dollar store for a plastic skull and cut to top off. Don’t forget to put a smaller vase inside to hold the flowers, these décor skulls are not necessarily leak-proof.
2) just Batty About It
It doesn’t take much room at all if your décor is in flight. Pick a spot to display a colony of spooky bats in your home. We love these we found on Amazon. Pro Tip: Use this mounting putty to adhere them to the wall. It doesn’t leave any residue and is easy to roll up for next year. Here is a photo we loved from West Elm on Instagram.
3) Colonel Mustard with the Candlestick in the Library
Okay, so we may not all have a perfectly haunted library in our apartments, but I guarantee you a few books on a shelf somewhere. Spookify your collection with these free printable Halloween book covers we found on Pinterest.
4) Creepin’ It Real
Update your letterboard with a cheeky seasonal quote. Here are some of our favorites:
Trick or Treat Yo’ Self
If one door closes and another one opens, your house is probably haunted
No thanks Ouja boards. I don’t even like talking to living people.
I gave you life. You give me your Reeses’s.
All of the dust and cobwebs in my house just became decorations
Dear Pumpkin Spice lovers, you are wrong. Sincerely, Apples
